If you’re experiencing issues with OneBusAway for iOS where the app doesn’t show your location on screen, and the map doesn’t zoom in to show your surroundings, you may need to authorize OneBusAway to access your location.
- Open Settings
- Open Privacy
- Open Location Services
- Open OneBusAway
- Select the “While Using” option
Step 1: Open Settings
Navigate to the Home Screen (by swiping up from the bottom of the screen on iPhone X-type models or by pressing the Home button on older models), and tap on Settings.
Step 2: Open Privacy
Scroll down until you see the table row labelled “Privacy,” and tap on it.
Step 3: Open Location Services
Tap on “Location Services.”
Step 4: Open OneBusAway
Scroll down the list of apps until you see “OneBusAway.” The list is alphabetical, so you might have to scroll quite a distance. Tap on “OneBusAway.”
Step 5: Grant Permissions
Finally, change the permissions that are granted to OneBusAway to the setting “While Using the App.”
Next time you reopen the OneBusAway app, everything should work as expected!
