For OneBusAway for iOS to be able to work using cellular data, it needs to have permission from your iPhone. (As a security measure, apps themselves can’t set this; you need to give them permission.) If OneBusAway is only working on WiFi, but not with cellular data, here’s how to fix this.
- Open Settings from your phone’s home screen.
- Scroll down to the OneBusAway app entry and tap on it.
- Turn the Cellular Data switch to the ‘on’ position.
1. Open Settings
Open Settings from your phone’s home screen. It’s the app that’s highlighted in magenta on the screenshot.
2. Scroll down to OneBusAway
Scroll down to the OneBusAway app entry. It might be pretty far down the page, but at least the list of apps is alphabetical. You can also search if you want.
Tap on it once you find it.
3. Turn on Cellular Data
Make sure that the toggle switch for Cellular Data is set to the ‘on’ position. (here shown ticked to the right with a green background.)
